Elden Ring: Patch Notes 1.15 – A New Era of Stability and Performance
Error Fixes
The latest patch for Elden Ring, version 1.15, has brought a plethora of fixes to the table. One of the most notable issues that has been resolved is the problem that caused the player to re-enter the dark shadow church area, resulting in a repeated cutscene. Additionally, the issue with the puppet fist weapons’ attack damage being reduced under certain effects has been fixed. The patch also addresses the problem with the puppet fist’s single-handed crushing blow having lower than expected damage.
Furthermore, the error that prevented the guardian from using the Crucible has been fixed, allowing for smoother gameplay. The patch also resolves the issue with certain weapons not benefiting from the Escudo’s effects, as well as the problem with the Skardu tree transformation arena’s some areas being inaccessible. The issue with Rennala, the Twin Maiden Husks, occasionally acting strangely has also been addressed.
Performance Enhancements
The patch also includes a range of performance enhancements, including improved frame rates and reduced lag. The "Rebuild Database" option in the PS5 version’s device safety mode can be used to fix unstable frame rates. In some PC versions, the light tracing feature may be accidentally activated, causing performance inconsistencies. Players are advised to check the light tracing quality option in the "System" > "Graphics" menu to resolve this issue.
In addition, PC players may encounter notifications indicating "detected abnormal activity" even if no cheating is occurring. Players are advised to check the integrity of their game files before restarting to resolve this issue. Finally, external programs that adjust mouse movement may cause unreliable frame rates. Closing these third-party programs can improve performance.
