Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, the New Chapter Unfolds

New Faces, New Story

Arc System Works has recently announced the cast for the upcoming TV anime, Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. The two main characters, Elphelt Valentine and Ramlethal Valentine, will be voiced by Suzaki Aya and Han Megumi, respectively. The anime will follow the story of Guilty Gear -Strive-, which explores the aftermath of the game’s events.

A World of Conflict and Drama

In a world where science and technology have declined, a new energy source known as "magic" has become the driving force behind modern society. Humans have created Gear, a forbidden biological weapon, but it eventually turns against them, leading to a catastrophic conflict. The story follows Shin Kiske, the son of Ky and Dizzy, as he attends his parents’ wedding, which marks the union between humans and Gears. The ceremony is filled with complex emotions, but ultimately, it is a celebration of love and hope.

The Mysterious Girls

However, the peaceful world is disrupted by the sudden appearance of two mysterious girls. One is the Gear-blooded child of destiny, while the other is a girl who despises Gears. Their meeting will shake the world. The anime’s website features an image of the two girls, hinting at the drama and tension that is to come.

The Creative Team

The anime will be directed by Morikawa Shigeru, who is known for his work on Gekijōban Argonavis: Ryūsei no Obligato and SANZIGEN’s D4DJ First Mix, D4DJ All Mix, and D_Cide Traumerei the Animation series. The series script will be written by Kaiho Norimitsu, who has worked on School-Live!, Astra Lost in Space, and Akudama Drive. Mizushima Seiji will serve as the producer.

A New Chapter in the Guilty Gear Saga

Sanizgen, the animation studio behind the project, has previously animated a commemorative video for the game’s one-year anniversary in August 2022. With the announcement of the cast and creative team, fans are eagerly anticipating the new chapter in the Guilty Gear saga.
