DBD 2024: Haunted by Daylight, Thrilling Collaborations, and Chilling Surprises

The most anticipated event in the Dead by Daylight (DBD) calendar is finally here – the Haunted by Daylight 2024 event, which will kick off on October 17th and run until November 7th. As the third installment in the series, this event promises to bring a whole new level of excitement and terror to fans of the game.

New Killer?

As with previous Haunted by Daylight events, we didn’t see any hints of a new killer in the latest live stream. However, there is a small ray of hope. The three killers – Blight, Spirit, and Deathslinger – will make a return in a new mode, where players will be able to use them. This might just mean that we’ll see a new killer character emerge in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates!

New Skins!

This year’s event brings with it a wide range of new skins to collect and enjoy. These include the Void Collection, Trick & Treat Collection, Sacred Disease Collection, Alien Collection, and more! From Kate’s new outfit to the eerie Bladed Pig skin, there’s something for everyone.

2v8 Mode Returns

The highly anticipated 2v8 game mode has made its return, with five new maps and three new killers to play with. Survivors will also get to experience new perks, including pallet repairs, long-range healing, and self-awareness. To prevent games from getting too one-sided, the "snowball" prevention mechanism has been introduced.

Other Major Changes

One of the biggest changes this year is the Void’s continuous progression. The portal will always be open at the start of each game, allowing survivors and killers to enter and exit at will. Killers will now be able to use their powers within the Void, while survivors can use pallets, cabinets, and crates to defend themselves. Downed survivors will still be vulnerable to killers, who can then use the Gallows to execute them.
