The official website of the TV anime series "Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest", a sequel to the hit manga "Fairy Tail", has revealed new cast members and an exciting storyline. Among the new voices is Mizuki Nana, who will be taking on the role of Selenia, the celestial spirit of the moon. This marks a significant departure from the original storyline, as Selenia is a key character in the 100-year quest that the Fairy Tail guild will embark on.

Key Changes and New Additions

The anime series has undergone some significant changes since its announcement. The story will follow the Fairy Tail guild as they take on the 100-year quest, a challenge that has never been attempted before by anyone. The guild is comprised of Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Happy, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell, who will be facing new, mysterious enemies and exploring unknown lands.

New Opening and Ending Themes

Da-iCE will be performing the opening theme song "Story", while Boku ga Mitakatta Aozora will be singing the ending theme song "Tomo yo, Koko de Sayonara da" (My Friend, We Say Our Farewells Here). This marks a new direction in the series’ music style, with a focus on energetic and uplifting tracks to match the excitement of the storyline.

Production Team and Staff

The series is being produced by Kodansha USA Publishing and will be directed by Yoshihira Shinji, who is known for his work on the "Tokyo Ghoul" and "Eden’s Zero" series. The series will also feature character design by Yuika Sakori, who has worked on several notable anime series. The sound direction will be handled by Hata Showji, who has been involved in the production of several anime series.

Release Date and Broadcast Details

The anime series is set to premiere on July 7th at 5:30 PM on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting. Viewers can also expect additional broadcast details to be released in the coming weeks.
