Before venturing into the unknown, it is essential to know that there is a small dungeon to pass through before facing Heismay. This dungeon, known as the Giant Sandworm’s Nest, is not as long or difficult as other dungeons found in Metaphor: ReFantazio. After exiting the Giant Sandworm’s Belly, you will encounter the Giant Sandworm’s Next, where you will meet your future ally. With only two types of enemies, this boss fight is surprisingly easy to defeat. Piper is weak to piercing attacks, wind, and dark magic. If you find her, use red elixir and cast ice magic to defeat her.

Treasures

Despite the short length of the dungeon, you can find some valuable treasures, including:

• 1 Hero’s Scent
• 3 Rotten Bones
• 1 Blessed Water
• 1 Magician’s Pill

Facing Heismay

When facing Heismay, it is crucial to use Hulku’s basic attack to counter her, as her clone-like shadows can deal significant damage. Be careful, as her strengths are based on her vast powers, making her incredibly resilient. In addition, be prepared for the potential of her overwhelming attacks, which can deal massive damage.

Defeating Heismay

To defeat Heismay, you must first identify the real Heismay, who is using her shadow to hide. To do this, observe her carefully, and when the real Heismay appears, strike with all your might. Note that using area attacks will only make things worse, as Heismay will take advantage of the chaos to heal herself. Aim for her weaknesses and prioritize high-damage skills.

Party Composition

When building your party, it is essential to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each member. Suggested roles include:

• Protagonist: Seeker or Healer (and enforcer for side quests).
• Strohl: Knight or Fencer.
• Hulku: Knight or Magic Knight (if her bond is strong).

When Heismay deals significant damage, have your protagonist and Hulku heal her, while leaving Strohl to take care of the rest. This strategy may take some time, but it is a surefire way to defeat the enemy, ensuring her turnaround. Afterward, you can enjoy the cutscene and wait for the storyline to unfold, with Heismay soon joining your party.
