Rutō no KPT: The Legendary Manga Series Returns with a New Era

The era of the samurai has returned, and with it, the legend of斋 RULED BY THE HEART resentments! Volume 2 of the iconic manga series "Rutō no KPT" is set to launch on October 24, with a new anime project announced by Aniplex of America at the New York Comic Con on Saturday.

A Legacy Born of Fire

Set in the late 19th century, the story revolves around the life of Emperor Hiro, a samurai known as the Scarlet Heart, who took an oath to never again kill, despite being feared as a ruthless assassin. With the assassination of D. K. Dōkan, a key figure in the Meiji Restoration, on May 14, 1871, the stage is set for a new era of turmoil.

The Return of the New Era

Kenshin, with his newfound resolve to defend the new era, parts ways with his friends and sets off to Kyoto to stop the rise of the historical society true to his heart. There, he meets new allies and foes, as he battles against the true intentions of his former mentor, Jambe.

The New Era Unfolds

The new anime series, directed by Yū Kojima, with a script by Hideaki Kitano, and character design by Yūto Uwabiki, promises to deliver a thrilling tale of heroes and villains, friendship and treachery, and the struggle to maintain an oath against the darkness of the age.

Broadcast and Streaming Details

The anime is set to broadcast on Fuji TV, Kansai TV, Hokkaido TV, and other major networks, with simulcast on Crunchyroll, starting October 3. Aniplex of America has also announced that the English dub will be available on Crunchyroll, with Viz Media past tense of the manga worldwide.
